I’m an experienced educator who is passionate about helping teachers in urban schools develop meaningful, lasting relationships with their students to enhance morale, improve teacher return, and achieve academic success. When I was a classroom teacher, the most applicable and impactful advice I received was directly from other teachers in the brief time we had to share strategies. In grad school, rehearsing my lessons with other teachers allowed me to ensure I was using effective engagement strategies, checks for understanding, and making the information stick. Coaching and deliberate practice have been proven to increase teacher effectiveness and student outcomes. I support teachers with strategies to strengthen classroom systems, management, and culture. I evaluate lesson and unit plans to ensure they are equitable, culturally, and historically responsive. I’ve improved classroom outcomes in many different positions and at several types of schools. I’d love to partner with you.

What People Are Saying

“Ms. Hatcher is a committed and thoughtful teacher leader who prioritizes equity and fun for scholars. She is always willing to jump in and have it turn out for students and colleagues whether that be by modeling athleticism for scholars or pushing them to be their personal best for their threshold around rigor in the classroom. As a colleague, my experience of Ms. Hatcher has been one that empowers many to be collaborative and innovative around classroom culture, especially during the COVID-19 Pandemic. Ms. Hatcher continuously strives to provide a fun, rigorous, and nurturing learning environment for both scholars and colleagues in and out of the classroom. I am confident that she will excel in any school community and bring a level of excellence that will have an impact that creates instructional practice changes for educators and skills ripples beyond the school building”

— Brittany Jeter - Teacher Leadership Coach

“Cherea Hatcher’s ability to engage with students is extremely impressive. Not only does she provide fun and interactive lessons for students, but also adds a unique personal touch of positive energy that permeates into the classroom. Creatively infusing movement with academics, Cherea leads students into a space where they are challenged, yet liberated from traditional teaching methods. While seeing the unique capabilities of each of her students, Cherea helps develop school communities where healthy mind and body initiatives thrive.

Cherea’s example has been beneficial not only to her students, but fellow teachers as well. As she leads teachers, I’ve witnessed multiple classrooms’ morale and sense of community become uplifted by the strategies Cherea provides.

I would highly recommend Cherea Hatcher be invited into any school environment to ensure positive mental and physical energy are upheld so true learning endures.

— Robert Wildes - Manager of Teacher Leadership Development at Teach For America 2018-2020

“If you are looking for an education consultant that will provide clear and actionable feedback, assist teachers with clear systems and procedures, and guide teachers to cultivate a safe inclusive classroom for your students, look no further, for you will have all those excellent qualities and more in Ms. Cherea Hatcher.

In her second year at Relay, Cherea became a lead teacher and created positive health and fitness initiatives at her school which means she can identify areas of growth and has led the enterprise to be apart of the solution. She earned this promotion due to her openness to feedback, intentionality to implement, and hunger for improvement. Cherea has a true ownership of her craft and a deep appreciation for her students, families, and communities.

Ms. Hatcher is an effective master teacher and instructional coach. Her lesson plans are created with plans for all types of learners. Her classroom management creates a classroom of warmth and high expectations. Her respect and humility shines most when communicating with the families of the children she serves. Without hesitation I strongly recommend her to transfer these strategies to your school educators..”
